Principal
is a valuation professional
specializing in business appraisals, SFAS
141 & 142 engagements, fairness opinions
and valuation consulting for a wide variety
of situations. He also performs litigation
support services for divorce cases and partnership
disputes. Mr. Miranda has worked for Houlihan
Valuation Advisors since 2001.
Prior to joining HVA, Mr. Miranda served
as CFO for a private company, worked for
a venture capital firm, was Director of
Investment Banking Services at the American
Stock Exchange and worked for four years
on Wall Street for Lehman Brothers and Oppenheimer
& Co., as an international investment banker.
Rick holds a Masters Degree from the Fletcher
School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University
where he was a CIGNA scholar, focusing on
International Finance. He also holds a Bachelors
Degree from St. Lawrence University, where
he completed a double major in Economics
and Government Studies. In addition, he
was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay
where he was a cooperative advisor and wrote a grant to receive funding from USAID.
