OUR PROFESSIONALS Atlanta Office James F. White III, ASA Managing Principal jwhite@houlihan.com James F. White III is a managing principal in the Atlanta office of Houlihan Valuation Advisors. Mr. White has been performing valuations since 1973. Business valuations include enterprises, closely-held common and preferred stocks, options, warrants, patents, public and private limited partnerships and real estate investment trusts. Intangibles valued include goodwill, going concern value, customer lists, core deposits, mortgage servicing rights, assembled work force, leasehold interests, sales backlog, software, manufacturing instructions, proprietary processes and contracts. Other business assignments have included merger and acquisition studies, deal structuring and negotiations for both buyers and sellers. Real estate appraisals include manufacturing plants, warehouses, office buildings, shopping centers, apartment complexes, planned unit developments, subdivisions, nursing homes, adult congregate living facilities, hotels, motels, resorts, restaurants, golf courses, tennis complexes, marinas, railway right-of-way, vacant land, mobile home parks and a college. He has provided expert testimony relating to business valuation and real estate appraisals in numerous states. Mr. White is a Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers and is designated in Business Valuation and Real Property Appraising. He has served the American Society of Appraisers as President of the Atlanta Chapter, State Director for Georgia and as the Regional Governor. Mr. White is a Certified General Appraiser in Georgia and a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Georgia and Florida. Mr. White has organized and managed valuation practices in the Southeast for BDO Seidman, Arthur D. Little Valuation and the financial valuation practice for Arthur Andersen. He has an MBA from Georgia State University and a BS from Georgia Institute of Technology.
